A customer who builds custom crafted Harley Davidson choppers here in Australia approached us to see if we can do custom hand tooled seats for his creations. We have been doing hand tooling for the better part of 45 years but this was something we had not done before.
We drew up a pattern and hand tooled the seat leather into 2mm (8oz) pure vegetable tanned tooling leather. The leather was the dyed and finished in black and fitted to a customer supplied seat pan. The seat was padded with a high density foam. The leather was stretched into place and sewn on our Adler 204-370 heavy duty sewing machine with a #10 bonded nylon thread
