Another customer who builds custom crafted Harley Davidson choppers here in Australia approached us to see if we can do custom hand tooled seats for his creations. This customer holds the distribution rights for the famous Westcost Choppers here Australian. We had done this sort of work before, but in this case price was a consideration.
We drew up the logo and had an embossing plate made because the customer intends to re-use the same tooling on future projects. We pressed the pattern into a pre dyed 2mm (8oz) seat leather. The imprint was then handtooled to enhance the imprint. The leather was finished and fitted to a customer supplied seat pan padded with a high density foam. The leather was stretched into place and sewn on our Adler 204-370 heavy duty sewing machine with a #10 bonded nylon thread
